GM Rules

  1. You control your own adventure and your own NPC’s! HOWEVER, please be gentle with other people’s additions to the greater world.
You may visit a shop that another GM created and introduced BUT you may not… burn it down and kill everyone within a mile radius.
However, if you like to, you MAY burn down your own creations if you’d like. That’s fine.
If you are committed to having someone else’s shop keeper taken hostage and their shop infested with blood thirsty pixies with a craving for pinapple sherbert… please get the creator’s permission first.
This is meant to be a casual world, but be gentle with other people’s creations.
  2. Please keep the world “fairly consistent”
“StormHolm”, the town that we’re based out of, needs to still there and fairly safe in-between sessions. Be polite, leave it better than when you found it.
Prices should make sense and be reasonably similar to what is shown in the player’s handbook or DnD Beyond.
  3. As you’re planning a session you should set up expectations for the perspective players.
Players should be given several days to build their characters and get the team together.
What levels the players should be as they go in to your adventure? Your opponents should be leveled appropriately. Each creature has a “CR rating” which helps you gage their difficulty in combat.
You are welcome to set any requirements you’d like to create the adventure that you want to lead. I.E. “bards only” or “No Evil characters”
In general players should expect to level up 0-2 times per session.

Website Updates

If you are a recurring GM you may wish to have the opportunity to update the website between sessions, ask Ben or Erica and you can be given a login to the website to make updates.
